I’ve put together a selection of writing that highlights the kind of work I do, including scripts, storytelling, and content-focused pieces. Feel free to explore what’s most relevant to what you’re looking for.
Alongside the samples here, I’ve worked on writing and scripting for digital media projects as part of my role with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA).
My work focused on developing scripts and content for video, social media, and communication campaigns designed to reach broad audiences. A large part of the role involved taking complex topics and turning them into clear, engaging content people could easily follow.
Several of these projects became some of the most viewed and highest-performing pieces within the organization, helping drive engagement across multiple platforms.
DoDEA 70th Anniversary Video Script
A scripted video highlighting the history and impact of DoDEA, designed to engage a broad audience including families, leadership, and the public.
This project focused on creating a clear and engaging narrative that captured the history and significance of DoDEA over time. The goal was to increase awareness and connect with a wide audience across YouTube and social media platforms.
I worked closely with the video team lead to shape the script and improve overall flow, ensuring the content translated well into animation and visual storytelling. The project required balancing clarity, tone, and structure under tight deadlines.
The final video became one of the most viewed pieces on the organization’s YouTube channel and gained traction quickly after release.
Month of the Military Child Campaign
A series of scripts and content pieces created for a large-scale campaign focused on raising awareness and engagement across multiple platforms.
This was an ongoing annual campaign centered around recognizing and supporting military-connected students. The work involved developing scripts and content for social media and digital platforms over the course of the month.
Each year required a fresh approach, which meant adapting messaging and structure to keep the content engaging and relevant. I contributed to both the writing and visual development of multiple pieces, working as part of a larger team effort.
This campaign consistently performed as one of the organization’s most successful initiatives in terms of engagement and reach.
Student Safety Protocol Video Script (Pre-K to 3rd Grade)
A script developed to communicate complex safety procedures in a clear, simple, and age-appropriate way.
This project involved working with a security team to create a script that explained school safety procedures for young students. The challenge was to take a complex and serious topic and present it in a way that was both understandable and appropriate for the audience.
I collaborated closely with stakeholders to ensure accuracy while refining the structure and language to improve clarity and flow. The final product was well received and continues to be used as a primary resource for communicating these protocols.
Below is a selection of scripts, commentary, and fiction that reflect the range of my work. Each piece highlights a different aspect of storytelling, from structured video scripts to narrative writing. Together, they represent the kind of projects I’m most interested in pursuing.
